Patrick-Juvet Patrick Juvet (70) passes away We are sad to report that Patrick Juvet, who represented Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 1973, has passed away. Juvet was 70 years old. His agent confirmed the news to AFP today. Born in 1950 in Montreux, Switzerland, Patrick Juvet represented his country at Eurovision 1973. Eddie Barclay, the man behind Charles Aznavour, Dalida and Jacques Brel discovered the Swiss model in 1971. After a couple of releases, Eurovision came as a good opportunity. As a proper casanova, Juvet sang Je vais me marier, Marie. He eventually placed twelfth in the competition. Proper success followed later in the 1970s. He focused on disco music, most notably alongside composer Jean-Michael Jarre. It led to the biggest success of his career, the 1977 single Où sont les femmes? In these years, Juvet also became an icon for bisexuality. Later in life, in 2005, he discussed his career and sexual orientation in greater detail in his autobiography Les bleus au cœur: Souvenirs.
